TAITRA: A Leading Organization Promoting International Trade Cooperation
Meerut: Two talented students from MIET (Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology) have brought international recognition to the institution through their selection by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) — a globally renowned, non-profit organization sponsored by the Government of Taiwan.
Nandini, a B.Tech student in Computer Science Engineering (Data Science), and Vanshika Vashistha, a B.Tech student in Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), have been selected by TAITRA, which works to strengthen global trade and business collaborations.
The selection process, held at MIET, was conducted in the presence of Vincent Lin (Director, TAITRA), Teresa Weng (Manager), and Puneet Dureja (Trade Promotion Specialist). Out of six students shortlisted during the initial round, Nandini and Vanshika were chosen in the final phase.
Akanksha Agarwal, Director – Placements at MIET, said the institute is consistently striving to provide its students with global exposure and international career opportunities.
“Our goal is to equip students with the competence and experience required to excel in the global market,” she added.
Congratulating the selected students, Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dean (Student Welfare) Dr. Hani Tomar, and Sushil Sharma expressed pride in their achievement.
Established in 1970 through collaboration between the Taiwanese government and major industrial organizations, TAITRA is headquartered in Taipei and employs over 1,300 trade specialists. The organization’s mission is to connect Taiwanese enterprises with global markets and assist foreign businesses in exploring trade and investment opportunities in Taiwan.
