B.Sc. Students Gain Industry Exposure During Visit to Coca-Cola Plant in Greater Noida
The Department of Biotechnology/Microbiology at MIET, Meerut, organised an industrial visit for B.Sc. students to the Coca-Cola manufacturing plant in Greater Noida on January 22, 2026. The visit was aimed at providing students with hands-on exposure to industrial operations and bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.
During the visit, students were familiarised with the complete beverage manufacturing process, including raw material handling, water treatment systems, quality control measures, bottling, packaging and the stringent safety standards followed in the industry. Officials from Coca-Cola briefed the students on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance protocols, and the critical role of hygiene and sustainability in the food and beverage sector.
An interactive session with industry professionals proved highly informative, enabling students to seek clarifications and gain insights into emerging trends and career opportunities within the industrial domain. The interaction helped students develop a clearer understanding of large-scale industrial operations and professional expectations.
Faculty members accompanying the students appreciated the cooperation and support extended by the Coca-Cola management, describing the visit as a valuable academic experience that enhanced practical understanding and industry readiness among the students.
