Meerut: The Aashayein Club of the Department of Biotechnology at MIET, Meerut, organised a large-scale social donation camp at multiple locations across the city, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
The donation drive was conducted at prominent locations including Augarnath Temple, the Railway Station area for underprivileged sections, and Shri Vivekananda Kustha Aashram, Railway Road, Partapur. The initiative aimed to extend support to needy individuals during the winter season while fostering a spirit of compassion, service and social responsibility among students.
As part of the campaign, students distributed a wide range of essential items, including approximately 300 jackets, 200 suits, 200 blankets, 500 pairs of shoes, 350 slippers, packed food items, sanitary pads, and 500 freshly prepared meal plates. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who carried out the distribution with dedication and sensitivity.
The successful execution of the camp was made possible through the active involvement of students Aryan Raj, Varnika, Anshuka, Loas, Sachin, Kartik, Shagun, Shelly, Kritika, Yash, Dishant, Deepesh, Ayush, Devansh, Vansh, Swarn, Alfisha, Khushi, Monu, Shalu, Vaishnavi, Rajan and Kartik. The initiative was supported by Dr Subir Kumar Bose, Mr Pravesh Kumar, Mr Ajeet and Mr Jeetendra Kumar, under the guidance of Dr Anjali Rathi.
The initiative highlighted MIET Meerut’s sustained efforts towards social outreach and the holistic development of students through meaningful community engagement.
