Meerut: Dr Himanshu Sharma, Principal of Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dr Pankaj Sharma, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, have been conferred with the prestigious Shiksha Shri Award–2026 in recognition of their outstanding contribution to higher education. The awards were presented at the Shiksha Ka Naya Savera Fifth Academic Conclave and Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony held in Roorkee, Uttarakhand.
The honour was bestowed by the Dr Yadavendra Nath Memorial Trust (Regd.) for exemplary academic leadership, curriculum innovation, effective integration of AI-enabled teaching methodologies, strengthening research–industry collaboration, and sustained improvement in student learning outcomes. The ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent academicians, researchers and education administrators from across the country.
