Inderprastha Engineering College signs academic pact with Steinbeis Foundation India

Sahibabad: In a significant step towards strengthening international collaboration in technical education and innovation, Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Steinbeis Foundation India. The initiative, undertaken in association with the MIET Group, aims to promote academic cooperation and technology transfer between India and Germany.

Under the agreement, an Indo-German Centre for Technology Transfer will be established at the IPEC campus. The proposed centre is envisioned as a collaborative platform to connect innovation ecosystems of both countries, facilitate student and faculty exchange, and accelerate the transfer of advanced technologies. It will also host joint research projects, entrepreneurship development initiatives, skill enhancement programmes, and national and international conferences and symposiums.

According to the institution’s management, the collaboration seeks to combine Germany’s advanced technical expertise with India’s talent pool and creative potential, paving the way for sustainable development and globally competitive skill development. The initiative is expected to equip students with international exposure, industry-aligned competencies and emerging technological insights.

The MoU was signed by Vineet Goyal, President of Steinbeis Foundation India, and Puneet Agarwal, Vice Chairman of Inderprastha Engineering College. Representatives from Bharat Electronics Limited, Central Electronics Limited, industry associations and Excel Geomatics were present on the occasion.

Following the signing ceremony, a discussion session was held with officials from the District Industry Centre to deliberate on industry challenges and explore how German technologies could support technological upgradation in India.

The management expressed confidence that the partnership would open new avenues for Indo-German academic and technological cooperation while preparing students to compete effectively in the global arena.
