 Free Dental Check-up Camp Held at MIT, Over 250 Students Benefit

Meerut: Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), located on the Partapur Bypass, organised a free dental check-up camp in collaboration with Kalka Dental College, aimed at promoting oral health awareness among students.

During the programme, students were sensitised to various dental issues, and an informative seminar on oral health was conducted to highlight the importance of maintaining proper dental hygiene. To further engage participants, a quiz competition on oral health awareness was also organised, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students.

More than 250 students underwent free oral health check-ups during the camp. Experts provided detailed guidance on dental care and hygiene practices, while those requiring medical attention were offered free consultations along with necessary medicines.

The camp was led by Dr. Reenu Sirohi, Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry, along with Dr. Seema Sharma, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, Dr. Monica, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Siddhiy Verma from Kalka Dental College.

The event was attended by Dr. K.L.A. Khan, Director of the institute; Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Principal; Dr. Neeraj Kant Sharma, Principal (Pharmacy); Dr. Gaurav Sharma, Dean Academics; Ritima; Outreach Head Shikha Chauhan; Simran, among others.

The initiative not only provided essential healthcare services but also reinforced the importance of oral hygiene among students, reflecting the institute’s commitment to student well-being.
