Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar to perform live on March 14
Sahibabad: Inderprastha Engineering College will organise its two-day annual cultural and technical festival Udbhav-2026 on March 13 and 14 at its campus in Site-4, Sahibabad. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the institute.
Addressing the media, Dean Student Welfare and festival convenor Prof Dr Meenakshi Sharma said the event will feature nearly 50 competitions and activities covering technical, management, cultural, literary, fine arts and fun categories, providing students with a platform to showcase their diverse talents.
The festival will begin on March 13 with an inaugural ceremony followed by a series of programmes including musical performances, a Battle of Bands, a dialogue on politics, a theme-based fashion show and a DJ night.
On the second day, events such as street plays, a group dance competition and a prize distribution ceremony for the winners of various contests will be organised.
The highlight of the festival will be a live performance by Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar on March 14 at 7 pm. Known for popular tracks such as Sakhiyan, Pani Di Gal, Laare, Teri Meri Ladayi, Jamila, Ik Tera, Yaari, Sorry and Gall Goriye, the singer’s performance is expected to draw a large number of students and visitors.
The Battle of Bands competition will see participation from several prominent institutions including Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Ram Lal Anand College, Rajdhani College, Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo Vedic College, Maharaja Agrasen College, Miranda House, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Keshav Mahavidyalaya and Jesus and Mary College, among others.
College director Dr Anil Kumar Solanki said the institute continues to make steady progress in the field of education and remains committed to achieving new milestones in the future.
Among those present at the press conference were Prof Dr Meenakshi Sharma (DSW), media head Ajay Choudhary, Anmol, Rishi and Akhil Gautam, along with student coordinators Dhruv Jain, Dhruv Pandey, Shubham, Khyati Sharma, Vansh Choudhary, Ishika, Lipika Poddar, Saksham Jain, Aditya Bhatnagar, Prachi Goyal, Vishwajeet Singh, Abhay Gupta, Pratham Bhalla and Shubhangi Pathani.
