Meerut: With automation rapidly transforming industries across the globe, the Information Technology Department of Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), in collaboration with ICT Academy, successfully organised a week-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) focused on “UiPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA)”.

The programme aimed to familiarise faculty members with emerging automation technologies that enable software robots to perform repetitive computer-based tasks with speed and accuracy. Participants were introduced to the growing role of RPA in sectors such as banking, healthcare, corporate services and manufacturing, where automation is increasingly being adopted to improve efficiency and productivity.

The technical sessions were conducted by expert trainer Syed Zeeshan Ali Qadri, who provided practical insights into UiPath Studio, workflow automation, screen scraping, data extraction, Excel and PDF automation, along with other real-world applications of robotic process automation.

Senior officials of the institute, including Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Singh, Campus Director, Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Dean Academics, Gaurav Kansal and Rohit Agrawal, Associate Deans – Training, and Prof. (Dr.) Swati Sharma, Head of the IT Department, were present during the programme along with faculty coordinators and heads of various departments.

The FDP was coordinated by Dr. Puneet Mittal and Dr. Rohit Kumar Singh. Participants appreciated the initiative and described the programme as highly informative and relevant in preparing educators for the evolving technology-driven future.
