MIET Showcases Innovation at Project Expo 2026


Meerut: Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) organised its “Project Expo 2026”, offering a vibrant display of student innovation and technical excellence.

The event saw participation from 55 teams across 16 departments, including BTech, MBA, MCA and BPharma. Around 200 final-year students presented working as well as non-working models, demonstrating their technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

The expo was inaugurated by chief guest Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma, Dean Academics, Centre for Advanced Studies, AKTU Lucknow, along with guest of honour Gaurav Jain, Director, K.R. Industries. They were joined by chairman Vishnu Sharan, vice chairman Gaurav Agrawal, campus director Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh and MIT director Dr. K.L.A. Khan for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In the competition, the team from the Biotechnology department—Almas Nausen, Ananya Chaudhary and Misbah Fatima Rizvi—secured the first position and received the Chairman Award. The second position (Vice Chairman Award) was bagged by the Computer Science Engineering team of Yogyansh Singh, Kunj Agrawal and Sparsh Pandey. Another team comprising Soumya Rana, Smriti Kapoor and William Pawar was also honoured in the same category.

The Director Award for third position was presented to Varun Kumar, Sandeep Yadav and Vasu Gaurang from the third-year IT branch.

Praising the students, Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma encouraged them to continue innovating and focus on developing solutions to real-world challenges. The event was attended by Dean Academics Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Dr. Krishna Kumar, Avinash Chauhan, Rohit Agrawal and Dr. Honey Tomar, among others.
