IIMT Students Shine at International Youth Exchange Programme in China

Meerut: Students of IIMT University represented India at the prestigious China–South and Southeast Asia Youth Exchange Programme 2026 held at Yunnan University, Kunming, China, from June 7 to 18. The university made a strong impression on the global stage and emerged as the only private university from Uttar Pradesh invited to participate in the international event.

The IIMT delegation was led by R.K. Sharma, Director, International Affairs and Admissions, and included Zoya Khan (MBA First Year), Mukesh Pal (B.Tech CSE Final Year), and Tanusha Sahu (B.Tech CSE-AIML Third Year). The students actively participated in academic discussions, cultural activities, field studies, and interactive sessions with delegates from leading universities across Asia.

Speaking about the programme, Sharma said the initiative aimed to promote cultural understanding, academic collaboration, and global engagement among young people from different countries. The event featured expert lectures, dialogue sessions, cultural performances, and networking opportunities, providing participants with valuable international exposure.

Yogesh Mohan Gupta, Chancellor of IIMT University, said participation in such international programmes enhances students’ confidence and broadens their understanding of global educational and social developments. He added that the university remains committed to providing world-class opportunities and expanding international academic collaborations to prepare students for global careers.

University officials described the programme as a significant milestone in strengthening IIMT’s international presence and creating new avenues for academic partnerships and student exchange initiatives.
