IPEC Concludes 3-Day FDP on AI-Powered Employability Skills for Faculty

Programme with Wadhwani Foundation equips educators with industry-ready teaching practices

Ghaziabad: Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad, in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, concluded a three-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Soft Skills and AI-Powered 21st-Century Employability Skills from July 8 to 10, aimed at preparing educators to integrate industry-relevant competencies into classroom teaching.

The programme was organised by the Skill Development Cell under the guidance of Vice-Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Sharma, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Amit Jain, and Skill Development Cell SPOC Rocky Sachan. Addressing the participants, the dignitaries highlighted the growing need to combine technical education with AI-enabled employability skills to prepare students for the evolving demands of the global workforce.

The sessions were conducted by Shipra Thappa, Senior Master Trainer, Wadhwani Foundation, who trained faculty members in key areas including effective communication, time management, self-awareness, interpersonal skills, public speaking, professional etiquette, leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, team building, AI-powered employability skills, and innovative teaching methodologies. Faculty members actively participated in discussions, case studies, collaborative activities, and practical exercises designed to promote learner-centric education.

The FDP focused on equipping educators with AI-enabled teaching strategies and practical tools to strengthen students' critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Conducted on a train-the-trainer model, the programme will enable faculty members to transfer these skills to a larger student community, creating a long-term academic impact.

The organisers said the initiative reflects the shared commitment of IPEC and the Wadhwani Foundation to bridge the gap between academia and industry by promoting outcome-based education and enhancing graduate employability.

The programme's media outreach and digital communications were coordinated by Anmol and Rishi, Digital Marketing Managers at Inderprastha Engineering College.
