Meerut: In a significant step towards strengthening healthcare education and employability, Shri Venkateshwara University has signed a Training, Teaching and Placement (TTP) agreement with Apollo Healthcare Academy Ltd., Hyderabad, the education and skilling arm of the Apollo Hospitals Group. The collaboration aims to provide industry-aligned training and placement opportunities to students pursuing allied health sciences programmes, including Operation Theatre Technology, Cardiac Care Technology, Physiotherapy, Anaesthesia Technology, and Medical Laboratory Technology.
The partnership has been established in accordance with the guidelines of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) and is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through hands-on clinical exposure and structured skill development.
Venkateshwara Group Founder Chairman Sudhir Giri said the collaboration would help create a pool of highly skilled healthcare professionals in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Swasth Bharat, Aarogya Bharat and Ayushman Bharat'. He said the initiative would equip students with practical knowledge and industry-ready skills to meet the growing demand for qualified healthcare professionals.
Dr S. Ramakrishnan Venkateswaran, CEO, Apollo Healthcare Academy Ltd., described the agreement as a landmark initiative that would address the shortage of skilled manpower in the healthcare sector through structured education and professional training. Dr Rajeev Tyagi, Pro-Chancellor of Venkateshwara University, said the collaboration would help reduce the gap between the demand and supply of trained healthcare professionals in India.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Krishan Kant Dave said Apollo's four decades of expertise in healthcare education and clinical training would enable the university to produce globally competent healthcare professionals.
The agreement was formally exchanged between Dr S. Ramakrishnan Venkateswaran and Prof. (Dr.) Krishan Kant Dave in the presence of senior university officials, faculty members, and representatives of Apollo Healthcare Academy.
