MIET hosts farewell for final-year Microbiology and Biotechnology students

Meerut: A blend of emotions, celebrations and cultural performances marked the farewell ceremony organised by MIET for the final-year students of BSc and MSc Microbiology and Biotechnology, affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Campus Director Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dean Dr Sanjeev Singh and Head of the Department Dr Avinash Singh.

Junior students made the occasion memorable by presenting colourful cultural performances and engaging activities for their seniors. The event also featured the announcement of various farewell titles.

In the BSc Microbiology category, Ayush Saini and Shailee Badal were crowned Mr Farewell and Miss Farewell, respectively. Shresth Kapoor and Aarushi Rana received the corresponding titles in BSc Biotechnology. In the postgraduate category, Monish Abbasi and Anshika were declared Mr Farewell and Miss Farewell for MSc Microbiology, while Rajan and Sneha won the titles in MSc Biotechnology.

Special honours were also presented during the ceremony. Loyes Chikara and Palak were named Mr Perfect and Miss Perfect, while Shivam (BSc Biotechnology) and Shweta (MSc Microbiology) received the Mr Talented and Miss Talented awards.

Faculty members, including Dr Divya, Dr Sonia, Dr Shipra, Dr Rekha, Dr Aashna, Dr Robin, Dr Rachna and Dr Shweta, were present on the occasion.

Extending their best wishes to the graduating students, MIET Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Gaurav Agrawal and Barkha Agrawal encouraged them to remain committed to excellence and wished them success in their academic and professional journeys.
