Venkateshwara University, JNVU Jodhpur sign academic collaboration pact

Meerut: Shri Venkateshwara University (SVU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) of Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU), Jodhpur, to strengthen collaboration in higher education, research, faculty development and innovation.

The agreement aims to promote joint initiatives in teacher training, research, academic exchange, capacity building and implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The partnership will focus on equipping faculty members with modern teaching methodologies and technological skills while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

The MoU exchange ceremony was inaugurated by SVU Founder Chairman Sudhir Giri, JNVU MMTTC Director Prof Rajesh Kumar Dubey, SVU Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and Vice-Chancellor Prof Krishan Kant Dave.

Addressing the gathering, Sudhir Giri said India must produce job creators rather than job seekers to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. "Universities should nurture entrepreneurial leaders capable of generating employment opportunities," he said.

Prof Rajesh Kumar Dubey emphasised that while NEP 2020 provides a strong roadmap for transforming higher education, its successful implementation depends on continuous faculty training and academic upskilling.

Calling the collaboration a milestone, Dr Rajeev Tyagi said the partnership would significantly strengthen research, innovation and quality education. Prof Krishan Kant Dave added that the university would organise faculty development programmes, workshops and collaborative research initiatives to prepare globally competent graduates with leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

Several faculty members and university officials attended the MoU signing ceremony.
