The signing ceremony marked the beginning of a partnership aimed at promoting joint research, skill development programs, industrial training, and entrepreneurship initiatives to align academic outcomes with industry expectations.
During the event, Mr. Shubhendra Mittal and Mr. Puneet Agarwal, Vice President of MIT, held a detailed discussion on the growing need for a robust industry-academia interface. Both highlighted how such collaborations can address skill gaps, enhance student employability, and foster innovation.
Dr. K.L.A. Khan shared an overview of MIT’s advanced infrastructure, including its value-added programs, central facilities, and Centers of Excellence. He also outlined the diverse range of academic programs offered at the campus, adding that such partnerships would help students gain real-world exposure and industry readiness.
Speaking on new directions, Dr. Madhuri emphasized the need to focus on untapped areas in Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP), particularly in the agriculture sector and among women entrepreneurs. She stressed the importance of nurturing inclusive growth and innovation beyond conventional boundaries.
The MoU signing was followed by an interactive session attended by prominent academicians and industry stakeholders, including Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, Dr. Ankur Goel, Dr. Madhuri, and Mr. Sushil Sharma. The participants exchanged ideas on how collaborative initiatives can be implemented effectively for mutual benefit.
This partnership is expected to open new avenues for internships, live projects, and innovation-driven research, positioning MIT as a proactive institution committed to industry-relevant education.
