Students Lead by Example, Contributing Significantly to Social Cause
Meerut: Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), in collaboration with Pyarelal District Hospital Blood Bank and Ahimsa Social Committee, successfully organized a blood donation camp on campus, witnessing an overwhelming response from students. The initiative highlighted a strong sense of social responsibility and community service among the youth.
The camp was inaugurated by Campus Director Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Honey Tomar, and Media Head Ajay Chaudhary. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh emphasized that blood donation is one of the noblest acts, capable of saving numerous lives, and appreciated the initiative as a commendable step towards helping those in need.
A total of 174 units of blood were collected during the camp, with 115 students donating blood for the first time, reflecting growing awareness and willingness among young donors. All participants were felicitated with certificates of appreciation.
Dean Academics Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Manoj Agarwal, Akhil Gautam, Ajay Kumar, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Student coordinators from Ahimsa Social Committee, including Anshika, Khushi, Kesar, Vanshika, Isha, Krishna, Divyanshu, Syed, Rahul, and Akhil, played a key role in organizing and managing the event efficiently.
The camp not only reinforced the importance of voluntary blood donation but also showcased the commitment of MIET students towards societal welfare.
