Seminar on “Educated India, Developed India” Organized at Venkateshwara University on National Education Day



Meerut — Shri Venkateshwara University and Group of Institutions celebrated National Education Day 2025 with a grand seminar on the theme “Educated India, Developed India”, commemorating the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister and eminent freedom fighter Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The event witnessed the participation of distinguished educationists, scholars, and faculty members who paid rich tributes to Maulana Azad’s monumental contributions to India’s education system.

The seminar, held at the Dr. C.V. Raman Conference Hall, commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the statue of Goddess Saraswati. The inaugural session was graced by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Krishna Kant Dave, eminent litterateur Dr. Madhu Chaturvedi, renowned poet and educationist Dr. Rahul Awasthi, Chairman Kamendra Singh, and Registrar Prof. Piyush Kumar Pandey.

In his address, Dr. Rajeev Tyagi described National Education Day as a festival for all educational institutions, emphasizing that the vision of a developed India is incomplete without an educated India. He added that education must be rooted in values, ethics, and patriotism; otherwise, it loses its true purpose.

Dr. Madhu Chaturvedi highlighted that the dream of a developed India can only be realized through quality and inclusive education, while Dr. Rahul Awasthi remarked that education without values, culture, and national spirit is meaningless.

Founder-Chairman Sudhir Giri stated that education is not just about learning from books but is the greatest tool to illuminate lives and drive national progress.

The seminar was also addressed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Krishna Kant Dave and Registrar Dr. Piyush Kumar Pandey, who spoke about Maulana Azad’s visionary reforms that laid the foundation of India’s modern education system.

The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished academicians, including Dr. Rajesh Singh, Dr. Neetu Panwar, Dr. Suman Kashyap, Dr. Snehlata Goswami, Dr. Jyoti Singh, Dr. Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr. Anjali Bhardwaj, Dr. Ashutosh, Dr. Darpan Kaushik, Dr. Rajvardhan Singh, Dr. Mohit Sharma, Dr. Aarti Gupta, Dr. Om Prakash Gosai, and Dr. Ashwin Saxena. Director Dr. Pratap (Meerut Campus) and Media In-charge Vishwas Rana were also present.

The seminar concluded with the collective message that education remains the strongest pillar for building a progressive, value-driven, and developed India.
