She emphasised the importance of continuous professional development for educators in line with evolving educational reforms.

During the first session, Chanchal Mittal explained that the primary objective of the National Curriculum Framework is to promote stress-free and meaningful learning. She said the framework encourages a shift away from rote memorisation and focuses instead on enhancing students’ conceptual understanding, creativity and overall development.

In the subsequent session, Vandana Pandey highlighted that the NCF aims to bridge the gap between textbook knowledge and real-life applications, making the learning process more engaging and relevant. She noted that the framework places strong emphasis on skill-based education, enabling students to develop practical competencies alongside academic knowledge.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Anjul Giri, Chairperson of Venkateshwara World School, said that periodic updates in the curriculum help make learning more enjoyable and effective for students. She stressed the need for adaptive teaching strategies to meet the changing needs of learners.

Concluding the programme, Principal Sanjaya Walia expressed gratitude to the speakers and said that NCF-aligned activities help teachers better understand students’ emotional needs while fostering collaboration and teamwork. She added that the workshop provided valuable insights into improved assessment methods and strategies to enhance students’ memory, creative thinking and practical learning skills.
